  1. I did! I made a picnic and took us all down the river and to a playground. I brought wine, olive bread, cheese and savoury muffins. I made birthday cake and gave the kids sparklers.

Today, at least, I think I made the day of my husband and children. Bit of a high bar to keep to!

  2. I was going to say that’s impossible for me, because I don’t have that special someone to share a life. But your food for thought, could apply to any one you cross paths with; a store clerk, a person standing in line, etc. ..

Have a Blessed New Year. 🙂

    • You are right. We can make anyone’s day just by being who we are. We do it but we don’t notice it in the little things we do everyday. Sometimes we do big things for others. And it’s great. But I believe doing little things for many really makes a difference. We get to feel good about ourselves by being useful. And we get to help someone who really needed it or even put a smile on someone’s face who also really needed it. We never know it. But we can be saving someone’s life just by being there at the right place in the right time. Stay positive Mac. Life has many surprises for you, just open your eyes and you will see.

      • I think you’re right. I also think that we may not even know when we could be saving someone’s life by just being there with a kind word or act. I know my problem, but just can’t seem to correct it. I could use one of those little surprises right about now.
I enjoy reading your blog postings & comments.
        Take care.
