Have you ever had to lie

And do you remember why

Did you wish you hadn’t

Because you know you shouldn’t

Or did you truly regret it

And felt bad about doing it

No one wants to lie, it’s a sure thing

Most of the times, it’s a last resort thing

Usually because the truth won’t win

A battle will be fought and issues within

So it’s best to avoid at all cost

For lies will remain while the truth is lost
