Waiting for that message to ding

Counting minutes hours and days

Awaiting for it to come your way

Trusting in the promised words of others

Wishing to obtain your heart’s desires

Not realizing you are chasing an illusion

More and more it causes confusion

The day you open your eyes and see

That waiting is not the way to be

You want something to materialize

You take those steps to actualize

Or you will be waiting forever more
