Since we were born, we were conditioned to believe that not everything we want we will get. Just because you want it now, doesn’t mean it will happen now. Just because you planned it this way, it will end up working out that way. We learned through life that we must wait. We learned to be patient. We learned that some things are out of our control. We learned that we must live in acceptance and gratitude. With time and experience, we learn all these lessons and much more. Some of us though, may never learn.
Some of us like to take matters into our own hands and make things happen regardless of the challenges and obstacles. Some of us fight our way through life, taking it on like our biggest enemy. Some of us are unable to grasp the concept of ‘Good things happen for those who wait’
What I know for sure, is we get nowhere by being passive, submissive and complacent. I also know that we must do our part to get where we need to be. Nothing wrong with having dreams and doing whatever we can to make them come true. As long as these dreams don’t include harming other people or causing destruction. Nothing wrong with taking active steps to make things happen for a good and comfortable life.
There is a fine line between being accepting, patient and living with faith, versus taking things by the horns, figuratively speaking of course. One must come to a point in life after experimenting, making silly mistakes, falling on our faces, and learning through trial and error, that Life doesn’t need to be so hostile. That living in war constantly never brings happiness, peace or success. Life will try to teach you the bottom line of your existence. It’s up to you to listen when the call comes through. Ultimately, it’s your choice.
Indeed, good things do happen for those who wait. Good things also happen when you live in gratitude. Good things happen in your life when you let go of wanting things to go your way all the time, in the time that you decided, in the manner you decided. Life doesn’t work that way. The sooner someone learns this lesson, the easier it becomes. You realize the one you were fighting against all that time was YOU.
Although it may seem you are fighting the external circumstances. It’s an illusion. In the end, when you reach the point of seeing things as they are, you will see, that it’s all been a coping mechanism to survive in this world. The need to compete. The need to prove you are the best. The need to have all the materials that ‘mankind’ has deemed as a measure of success. The need for status, power and control. Where did all those needs come from? How did this baby, who came into the world looking for love and survival, end up so bitter, angry or hopeless?
It’s the conditioning, no doubt about it. It’s the upbringing and the influence of culture, politics and religion. It’s the combination of all those things along with our instincts to protect ourselves by any means possible. It’s the generational curse that has been passed down. It’s karmic lessons that must be learned. It’s all of it together – the reason – why humans are at the point where they are at.
It takes effort and work from every individual to change the vibration of our world. It starts within each one of us. We all have a responsibility towards the world we live in. Crying about it, complaining or feeling helpless is not going to change our world for the better. We can. Each one of us. By learning the lessons. By opening our hearts and minds. By waking up our consciousness. By taking steps towards changing our individual lives. We will in turn influence the collective. It all starts with you. Do your part. In the end, it will reflect in your life.
“The most important thing you can do to transform your life is to awaken to your own light. When you do, you can then become a beacon of hope and inspiration for others.” Unknown Author
