The “GIVING WITH NO RETURN” Lesson

Over the past few days, I have been reflecting on some events that took place recently and in the past and I couldn’t help but have these persisting thoughts. These thoughts provoked a series of revelations and deep understanding for a subject that holds a dear place in my heart. These thoughts revolve around being a giver and the extent of giving, the rewards of it or lack of it, nonetheless. With these thoughts and analysis, I come to a conclusion that turned into yet another valuable lesson in my life. And so I share it with you today.  Continue reading

The “HUMBLENESS” Lesson

Humbleness; one of those lessons in life that most people have to pass through. I ponder on this thought many times and I wonder if I possess this character or am I just a hypocrite. I guess it’s possible to lose your way and get caught up in your ego. But it’s never too late to learn this lesson and know that choosing Humbleness over Ego is a much better place to be in.  Continue reading

The Self Sacrificing Lesson

To some, sacrificing yourself for the sake of others is a noble act and is praised and appreciated. While others may look at it as sabotage of oneself and is avoidable if possible. Different views on the subject and to each their own opinion. There may not be one right way of looking at it. However, whatever resonates with the rest of your belief system, is the right way for you. Nonetheless, this is a great lesson to learn in life. Continue reading

The “ASSUME” Lesson

It is better to get your facts straight than to reach your own conclusion.  It may save you from a lot of disappointment in the long run.  We all fall in the trap of assuming things and coming up with our own explanations in order to complete the whole picture in our minds.  We need answers to our queries and when it is not given to us, we just find our own way of understanding things, and so, we assume. The “Take For Granted” Lesson

At some point in our lives, we realize that we take things for granted, we take each other for granted. Meaning we get so comfortable in having certain things in our lives and certain people around us. It is when we no longer have those things or people that we come to the realization that we have taken things for granted. Continue reading

The “Empty Promises” Lesson

So many of us make promises that we can’t keep. So why do we make them from the first place? Why we disappoint those we care about? And above all why do we disappoint ourselves? This topic is inspired by a dear friend of mine. I dedicate this to my dear friend.

I have a motto that I live by: ‘it is better not to make a promise at all just in case I cannot live up to it.’

The “FANTASY” Lesson

Have you ever woke up one morning and realized you are living in a fantasy? Have you ever felt that life is but a stage? Have you ever wondered: the things you have come to believe in, the people you have come to be attached to and the life you live; are all the mere thoughts and wishes you have in your mind – to make it all real? I wonder this sometimes. Continue reading

Conversation with My Heart

How many times will I keep going through this? How much more can my heart take? Why do I always end up in the same spot every time? Do I continuously make wrong choices and am I that bad in my judgements? It’s at times like these when I think I know nothing. I think I do, but obviously I don’t. Continue reading
