I believe in what I teach
July 7, 2025
I am here surrounded by people poking through my sovereignty and choice of being who I am. By circumstances; challenging, unbearable yet sweetly educational. By a state of being; unpleasant, at times shaky yet absolutely transformational. I stand here with so much inner strength and a zest for living a joyful and meaningful life. I am choosing to be open, vulnerable and transparent. I am choosing to share the biggest falls, the darkest secrets, the most private moments of my life. While I believe that in doing so, I am aligned with my purpose, living my dharma, fulfilling what my soul came here to do.
I am not ashamed sharing parts of my life or my whole life story for that matter. I am not afraid of how people will see me. I am not worried about being judged or criticized.
If I don’t share my experiences and teach others through the challenges and hardships I endured, than what good will those lessons, that I learned do? Were these lessons only meant for me to learn? Then I just die with them unshared. Is that what humanity is about?
If you are someone who chooses to believe that everyone is here to live for themselves and that in sharing intimate parts of oneself, it is damaging and destructive. Then by all means, continue to make your choice of how you choose to live your life as you wish.
On the other hand, influencing or attempting to force others to follow your belief system, to live according to what’s acceptable to you, is indeed unreasonable and unrealistic.
Everyone has the right to choose the way they want to live, the principles in which they live by and the values they hold. No one has the right to impose their beliefs on others. No matter who it is. Respecting other people’s choice even when it opposes our own beliefs needs to be emphasized.
We live in a world where anyone who is in a position of authority, gives him/herself the right to dictate how others ought to feel, think and behave. As if they know all the answers and their way is the only right way. That’s what dictatorship is. It is also a perfect definition of control and an indication of lack of trust and respect. Along with a heightened sense of ego, superiority and entitlement. There is no room for growth or evolution with this type of mentality.
Life is not meant to be lived in one way only. What works for someone, does not work for the other. There is no one size fits all. Not in the same culture even. Never mind the difference in cultures and societies all over the world. Each generation will have its own experience, thus it’s own dynamic. We cannot continue living in today’s world based on the conditions of previous generations. It is foolish and destructive to even consider repeating what has worked in the past – in the present. We are constantly changing and growing.
Meanwhile, in my own views we are all souls living a human experience. Where no one is better than the other. Rather, all of us are figuring things out as we go, making mistakes, learning lessons, exploring our limits, understanding ourselves, connecting with our inner world, going through life attempting to make sense of it as far as our intellect will allow. There is nothing to win. We all come into being the same way. We live life the way we each choose. Then we all leave just the same. So in the end, no one is superior. It’s an illusion. No one has all the answers. No one is more valuable than the other. Ultimately, we are all the same, just on different journeys in life.
Therefore, why do some give themselves the right to dictate to others how life needs to be lived when they are still figuring it out themselves. Financial advantage, educational status or societal status are some of our superficial measures of superiority. They are meaningless in the grand scheme. However, these can be tools used to make positive changes in the world we live in if we choose to.
It is up to each individual to have their own perspective. I choose to see it as I described because it resonates with my soul. And I’m not afraid to say it as I know it to be true for me. If others share my views, great, if not, I respect that and have no desire to convince anyone to follow suit. What is not great, is to be attacked for choosing my own path, values and principles that I live by.
I feel empowered in writing my own thoughts, in sharing where I stand and in confronting opposing views. I believe in what I teach, and I challenge myself everyday to live by what I teach as well. I am someone who is struggling and figuring things out as I go through life just as you are. I have a gift in being able to articulate my thoughts, write them down and share them with the world. Whether it is through this platform or by any other means I choose to explore. In the end, my intentions are clear. I am here to teach, inspire, motivate, challenge and to encourage you to grow, learn and evolve. I do so sometimes by sharing my own personal experiences and I have no shame in doing so.
